Process

Part 1:

Using Microsoft PowerPoint or another online presentation website, you will create a presentation that includes the following information about your selected state:

 - State name, motto
 - Location of the state
 - Major cities
 - Climate and geography
 - Places to stay
 - Four restaurants (fine dining, family friendly,
     local cuisine,)
 - National Parks/ Monuments/Memorials
 - Family Attractions/Zoos/Amusement Parks/Water Parks etc...
  - Historical Events
  - Something "unique" that "can't be found anywhere else..."

You need to organize your information before you begin building your PowerPoint.
In your journal, use resources to gather information. You may want to create a graphic organizer or chart to keep track of your information. Use the process steps to create categories for you organizer or chart. Make sure that you write down the web addresses so that you can go back to them later.

Part 2:

When designing your brochure in Microsoft Word, make sure that you include places that would attract people to come to your state. Include the name and an important fact about the place that would want someone to explore it. Also make sure that your brochure is visually appealing by adding images and graphics.

What to include in your brochure:
• the state capital
• one cultural site (museum, art gallery or theater)
• two historical sites (National Park, memorial, monument)
• two recreational sites (amusement park, beach, resort)
